It’s no secret that I’ve been suffering from a little cabin fever this winter. Usually, our winters in Reno are filled with sunshine and blue skies. Yes, we get snow. However, in typical Sierra Nevada fashion… the storms usually roll in quite quickly, do their business and then blow right out leaving huge blue skies in their wake. This year… that hasn’t been the case. Storms are rolling in and setting up camp. It’s been an unusually wet and gloomy winter. I’m losing my mind over it! Yesterday, the sun graced us with its presence and started melting off some of our last storm. I just had to get out of the house so I invited my friend Melinda along for a “shoot-out” … of sorts. I handed her a camera and we wandered about shooting and I taught her a little about using the camera in full on manual mode! It was fun… but I didn’t realize how much just comes naturally to me now. Explaining is hard!

Here are some shots I got of Melinda yesterday ..

Giving me “fierce” ..

And Melinda even turned the camera on me for a little bit ….

Of course there was jumping … er.. trying to jump!

“Is this thing on?”

I must work on my jumping face…

Or we can just do this ..
