cicily + steve | married

When I first met with them, we were discussing their wedding plans. Steve joked (or so I thought) that their wedding colors were based on Patron. The tequila. Cicily’s fave. Honestly, I hate to admit my naivety, but I had no idea what those colors were! I thought they were kidding and just laughed right along with them. However, I did immediately put this wedding in the “Super Fun Party” category! During their engagement session, Steve had me laughing non-stop. Cracking jokes and telling the story of how they met. All in all,  I knew this was going to be a fun and laid back wedding! They didn’t disappoint. They had reserved the all of the  Shinneyboo Creek cabins for some guests and their ceremony and reception venue. It was, secluded, rustic and with a gorgeous view! And guess what!? Her colors were based on Patron Silver… a fun shade of lime green and white flowers and details with classy black bridesmaids dresses. They even had bottles of Patron on every table. This, of course, meant that the reception did turn into quite the party!

Cicily and Steve opted to see each other before their ceremony. They wanted to get as many pictures out of the way before hand as possible. This is such a great way to get to enjoy more of your reception and time with your guests. I highly recommend it.

Ceremony & Reception: Shinneyboo Creek Resort

Flowers: Thorns & Berries

Catering: Mountain Magic Catering

And a huge thanks to Tiffany for second shooting with me that day!

tessa + brett | married

Tessa and Brett had such an amazing gorgeous wedding day in Sacramento! I’m just in love with her dress (her figure! vavavoom!) and, Oh! Check out the Tsakopoulos Library Galleria , the stunning, multi-floor venue where their reception was held! GAH. So great.

After their ceremony, Tessa’s mom surprised her by having the UC Davis marching band out on the steps of the church as they exited!

Wedding shot by Colleen Sherman with Stacey Marsh assisting, for Emily Main Photography. Seriously, these girls are all sorts of rad!
